Auto International Association Installs Two New Board Members

first_imgBETHESDA, Md. – The Auto International Association (AIA), a segment of the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA), installed two new board members at its May meeting during AAIA Spring Leadership Days in Hollywood, Fla. The newly elected board members are Bob Clark, director of aftermarket sales, Aisin World Corp. of America, and Dan Lelchuk, president, Centric Parts.   Clark joined Aisin in 1991 and is responsible for OES, accessory and aftermarket sales in North America and Latin American countries. His previous experience includes 14 years with Champion Spark Plug and six years with Genuine Parts Co. Clark is a member of the Automotive Sales Council and the Northwood University Advisory Board, and a former member of AASA Marketing Executives Committee.   Lelchuk has been part of the automotive aftermarket business since 1976, holding positions with several import parts suppliers including Beck/Arnley and Brembo. He spent 13 years with Autospecialty as vice president, sales and marketing, and is an original partner in the forming of Centric Parts in 2000. Denis Lynch continues Irish domination of Swiss “Golden Drum of Basel”

first_img A year after finishing as runner-up to Irish teammate Billy Twomey in the “Golden Drum of Basel” in Switzerland, Tipperary’s Denis Lynch got his hands on the prestigious trophy tonight (Saturday) after an outstanding performance in the five-star contest saw him take victory aboard the Onyx Consulting-owned 13-year-old gelding Cristello, to take home just over €17,300.Lynch was in superb form coming into the competition, having taken a runner-up finish on Friday in the Longines Grand Prix of Basel with GC Chopin’s Bushi. He went one better in tonight’s competition, and after an 11-horse jump-off, Lynch finished almost two seconds clear of Austrian runner-up Max Kühner and Alfa Jordan, while Bryan Balsiger (SUI) filled third spot on the podium with Jenkins ter Doorn.
